Solitude

Does living alone and consequente isolation of so many in our society constitute the person in crisis?
Especially in later life stage, none of us can totally avoid loneliness. However, we should view it as a signal to nurture ourselves as well as to reach to others. It is a crisis if spending alone time is not considered as positive and cherishable. Do we need one person who constantly cares about us? As undeniable as the importance of that , we must build a safety net of friends. We can find a place of worship, set up a weekly coffee hour, invite our neighbors or friends for simple meals or join an existing group or club. We actively need to master the art of living alone by permanently reaching to others.
