Positive memories
A recurring question asked is what was particularly good in your life? What is the positive memory that carries you through in darker moments? What are you most grateful for?
We build our own memories throughout our lives. One memory at a time. We create positive ones carefully to our liking and joy, and accept the negative ones with total dismay and disapproval. But notably, we acquire our survival tools by living with the gift of positive memories no matter how insignificant they were. They act no less than oxygen tanks when we are stuck in desperate moments. It is in fact the best coping mechanism we have. So let's get actively busy building up positive memories by talking to a trusted friend, taking a long hike in nature or getting inspired by somebody's kind act.
