Each day, as I stand by the side of someone in pain, I find myself questioning the ripple effect of my presence. Can my words or actions shift their perspective, infuse a glimmer of hope, or ignite inspiration? The world is teeming with silent suffering, and my awareness of it has never been more acute. 

Despite the weight of it all, I have no alternative but to persist in compassion.
