My Breakdown

When I found myself alone in a foreign country, sick, with two young kids, foreign companies to run and facing a divorce, I knew I had to take control of my mental health. I started scheduling breakdowns twice a year to give myself a chance to process my emotions and take care of myself.

I pick a time when I am alone, and I allow myself to cry, scream and express my emotions in whatever way I need to. I also take the time to reflect on my life and my decisions.

Scheduling breakdowns have been a great way for me to take care of my mental health and stay on top of my emotions. It has allowed me to process my feelings healthily and to take the time to focus on myself. I am grateful for the opportunity to take care of my mental health, gain perspective and move forward in a positive direction.
