Maria (fictitious name) 52, finally gave up life and scummed into her grief this week.

She found herself on a path walked by so many of her generation in rural areas - one where the choices are narrowed by the heavy demands of motherhood, a less fortunate spouse and managing a household with many economic difficulties. Her illness accumulated to her grief but it may have helped to numb the incongruente between reality and those lost life possibilities. Moreover, she became angry amplifying her countless memories of stripped dignity.

I was privileged to receive her friendship and the task of listening to her inward emotions.

I hope she finally is in peace.
