If I learned anything from dealing with people in crisis is a resignation to self- compassion. It reminds me of J.M. Barry's quote: "Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle." We manage to find reconnection where we are once touched by a crisis. The invisible battle connects us all.
