I Need a Friend
This marks our 220th blog post. Through our written words, we've shared our emotional experiences and reflections from working with those we serve. Our hope is that the stories of others navigating their own circumstances, turmoil, and healing will resonate with you. May you find comfort and benefit from these shared experiences. Remember, you are not alone.
Measuring friendships, whether in terms of quality or quantity, is undeniably challenging. However, what proves even more difficult is acknowledging loneliness. In fact, there's a recent term coined as the "friendship recession" to describe the absence of a close-knit circle of friends. So, what steps can one take? Friendships don't spontaneously form by itself; they require cultivation and sincere consideration, especially those that go beyond mere transactions. It's about valuing the relationship itself. Be vulnerable and express the words, "I need a friend."
