In the past, I have personally struggled asking for help. I have also struggled to be truthful when I am not doing that well. It's of course more comfortable to minimize the edges of pain and anxiety than to admit to my friends, my family, or even myself what is the level of hurt.

But it has never been more clear to me how much we all need each other. We need to talk about the painful emotions, the things we fear we are burdening people with. Yet we need to stay connected in order to stay alive. '
