Carry On
05/03/2022
Many of us feel a sense of unease about our lives going on as normal while presently a European country is struggling to survive from a war. As someone who was seriously touched by a war many years ago, I still have a sense of guilt and hopelessness as to carry on the futility and pointlessness of day-to-day life. Shall we have the audacity to enjoy life in a moment like this? It can feel morally wrong.
To get by, we have to carry on, become skilled at holding and connecting with everyone, creating enough beauty, effort and normalcy to remember yet keeping in mind that grief and beauty occur simultaneously in life. We choose to carry on. We choose energy rather than despair.
