24 Years Later
Reflecting on the concept of building bridges, I recently had an incredibly uplifting and unique experience that I feel compelled to share. There's a saying that goes, "Living without friends is like dying without witnesses." Friends are the ones who validate our existence. They bear witness to who we are, what we've done, what we've loved, the dreams we've chased, and the struggles we've endured.
So, when I received a letter from a friend after 24 years, recounting the circumstances of our meeting and how I made a difference in that very moment, I was deeply moved. This letter brought the proverb to life, reminding me of how our actions and presence are resonant with others long after the moment has passed.
I am truly honored by this gracious contact.
